THE state government has been urged to come up with food catering guidelines for all its functions. R. S. N. Rayer (DAP-Seri Delima) and A. Thanasekharan (DAP-Bagan Dalam) made the call for the state to be more sensitive to Hindus and Buddhists attending such events.

Opposition leader Datuk Azhar Ibrahim (BN-Penaga) today made scathing remarks against an English daily, calling it a "liar" and not even fit to be used as toilet paper during a heated exchange with RSN Rayer (DAP-Seri Delima).
Rayer had moved an emergency motion to condemn the actions of Barisan Nasional (BN) youth from Umno, MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP who had demonstrated outside the legislative assembly building on Monday.
Rayer had quoted the report on the demonstration from the Sun and accused Azhar of condoning the violent action.
