PENANG: DAP will support Barisan Nasional’s anti-hop law proposal if it is tabled in Parliament, its national chairman Karpal Singh said.
“Barisan just needs the support of eight more MPs to pass the proposal. We have 28 MPs.”
In 1992, the High Court ruled an anti-hop law unconstitutional as it contravened the freedom of association provision enshrined in the Federal Constitution. A constitutional amendment, needing two-thirds majority, will be needed to pass such a law.
“We also don’t welcome renegades defecting to DAP,” said Karpal Singh. “The trust of the voters is sacred. There must be honour among the representatives who won under the Barisan ticket.”

Still wondering, where is your service center?
I'm a residence staying in Island Glades for 30+, Island Glades used to be a quiet and lovely place to stay, unfortunately today, due to the bad township planning, having a low cost flat at the back hill, widen road, and connect main stream to housing estate (island glades), this place become very noise and dirth polluted, besides accident prompt as well. Island Glades is on the hill, driver stands to drive fast from down to bottom. It was so funny to see more than 30 road size along the Jalan Delima, and a BIG one as well. But who care? I just hope you could do something with the traffic flow, and perhaps set some speed bump along the Jalan Delima, that will definitely reduce the car speed.
