The afternoon session ended in a ‘deadlock’ when Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and Opposition leader Datuk Azhar Ibrahim (BN-Penaga) refused to answer each other’s questions on the three shelved mega projects in Penang.
Lim had tabled a motion and asked all state representatives, including those from the opposition, to unite in defending the rights of Penangites and seeking justice and equal treatment from the Federal Government.
During the arguments, RSN Rayer (DAP-Seri Delima) lashed out at Azhar for urging the Federal Government to pull back the mega projects shortly after Pakatan Rakyat took over Penang and questioned the opposition’s sincerity in representing the people.
Rayer also said the opposition was berdolak-dalih (beating about the bush) and bersandiwara (putting up an act), and Azhar was controlling the other opposition state representatives, preventing them from speaking their own minds.
