PENANG: The state has set up the Halal Logistics Working Committee with the aim of coordinating and developing logistics initiatives to promote Penang as an international halal hub.

Chairman of the state committee for domestic trade and consumer affairs, Abdul Malik Abul Kassim, said the working committee will also act as the coordinator in the recognition of halal logistics in Penang.
