GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP has launched its Sri Lankan Tamils Relief Fund to help ethnic Tamil civilians injured in the fighting between the military and Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka.

Fund chairman R.S.N. Rayer said the money would be channelled to the victims through Kuala Lumpur-based NGO World Tamil Relief Fund.

Rayer, who is a Penang DAP committee member and Seri Delima assemblyman, said similar fund-raising campaigns would be launched in Kedah, Perak and Selangor.
