Penang ready to work with Federal Govt, says Guan Eng

GEORGE TOWN: With all signs pointing to a prolonged global economic slowdown, the state government wants to work with the Federal Government to cushion the blow for retrenched workers.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he was seeking an appointment with Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop to see how funds could be channelled to those in need.
