Using EM technology to fight mosquito menace

THE recent nationwide alert on dengue and chikungunya cases has prompted the Seberang Prai Municipal Council to come up with a simple yet effective way to keep mosquitoes at bay.

Using effective microorganism (EM) technology, the council’s LA 21 kitchen waste composting team has developed an insect repellent using homemade eco-friendly enzymes and lemongrass.
