Aid for 9,600 poor families

A TOTAL of 9,688 families have benefited from the Penang Welfare Department’s financial aid between February last year and last month.

Penang Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said the RM430 monthly income cut off point for hardcore poor households set by the Federal Government was low.
