KUALA LUMPUR: The Democratic Action Party (DAP) will reject any proposal to turn Malaysia into a theocratic state.
In reaffirming the party's secular state policy, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said, "whether an Islamic or a Christian state, it is contrary to our vision of a civil society that is multicultural and multi-religious.
"(It also) violates the Federal Constitution,” he said in his speech at the 15th DAP National Congress here on Saturday.
