Penang may reward those who are filial

GEORGE TOWN: The state government is looking at the possibility of rewarding Penangites who take care of their aged parents.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said if the state’s financial situation is sound, deserving Penangites would be given RM1,000 under the Senior Citizens Appreciation Programme if they were named as beneficiaries upon the death of their parents.
